It Took a Village to Raise a Genre/Form Index
After a somewhat lengthy implementation process that included staff from multiple cataloging units and systems, our catalog now provides searching and limiting by genre and form terms through a new index. This capability has been well received by our reference staff and is getting increasing use. This presentation will outline our decision making process, demonstrate the results, and show plans for future improvements through retrospective cleanup. The presentation should be of interest to libraries of all types.
