Starting Authority Control with a Vendor
Are you thinking about working with a vendor to provide authority control for your catalog? If so, this talk is for you! This presentation will outline the steps for setting up vendor-supplied authority control. We’ll cover writing an RFP, creating a customer profile to specify exactly how your bibliographic records are to be processed, how to export and import records from Sierra, and how to work with the myriad reports from your vendor. Along the way, we’ll talk about key decision points and trouble spots to watch out for. Audience: all libraries.
