Marmot Library Network is a consortium of 29 libraries in Colorado sharing a single Sierra system. With so many libraries, record duplication is a major issue for us. We find that the duplicate checking function in Sierra Headings Reports is not adequate for many reasons. However, the advent of Sierra DNA allowed us to develop our own duplicate checking utility using Tableau. This program will look at what the utility does and how we created it.
