When it came time to upgrade our server hardware for Polaris, we were faced with several options; Innovative Cloud hosting, 3rd party cloud hosting, or host it ourselves. In this program, we’ll walk you through the steps we took to decide the best decision for us. Many factors are talked about like bandwidth, computer room space, technical expertise, and the latest and greatest server architectures. We will focus on tools from Microsoft primarily, including Hyperconvergence, Storage Spaces Direct, and Azure cloud services. The examples may be on Polaris, but the concepts apply to any platform.
