JQuery (Javascript) to Lift Your Library Catalog to Another Level

Using JQuery (Javascript), you can enhance functionalities in the public catalog. For example, we developed a facet interface to refine the results in the public catalog (WebPAC). Also, JQuery prompts users to fill in required fields when they submit an ILL form, or a form to hold an item. You can easily hide or change information on a catalog record. Other examples such as Autocomplete for suggested keywords and the “Did you mean” feature will be discussed. With minimal knowledge of Javascript and HTML, you should be able to take advantage of JQuery.
