IUG26 session spotlight: Forums

Forums* are always a popular type of session at IUG conferences because they allow for the attendees to determine the topics covered through an open conversation. Bring your questions, bring your answers, and be a part of the incredible community knowledge pool.

These are the forums on the schedule for IUG26:

Acquisitions (General)
All Things Vega (Vega)
Cat & Acq (Polaris)
Cataloging (Sierra)
Circulation (Polaris)
Circulation (Sierra)
Consortial (General)
Public Services (General)
Systems Administration (Polaris)
Systems Administration (Sierra)

If you want to attend a forum, remember to add it to your schedule in the Sched app. That way we can see which sessions are popular enough to need a larger room!

*Yes, in Latin the plural of forum (2nd declension, neuter) is fora, but since we are speaking English and the English plural -s works, I like to use it.

I’d like to add that the System Administration forums are worth missing a flight home, if you were unfortunate enough to have your travel scheduled for an early return trip. Reliably valuable insights shared within.

English is not Latin, never has been, and I for one am proud to be able to boldly split any infinitives I may feel like.

I’ll also blithely end my sentences with a preposition whenever I want to.
