IUG 2024: Call for Program Submissions and Hotel Block Open!
Preparations are well underway for the IUG 2024 Conference in Detroit, MI! Pre-conference sessions will be Sunday, March 24, with three full conference days to follow March 25-27. We’ll be sharing pre-conference and registration details within the coming weeks, but here’s what you can do in the meantime:
First of all, we can’t have a successful conference without your brilliant presentations, so please consider submitting one (or more)! Submissions will be accepted through November 30th. Keep in mind that you don’t have to go it alone - panel discussions, forum topics, and the like are always welcome, and there are plenty of your colleagues to collaborate with on the forums or Discord to kick around ideas or recruit co-presenters!
We also encourage you to book your hotel room ASAP, as there is an NCAA regional tournament taking place in downtown Detroit later in the week, so rooms may be in high demand. If you aren’t certain of your plans yet, no worries - you can cancel or amend your reservation easily if necessary.
IUG Steering Committee Elections: Call for Nominations
The IUG Steering Committee is seeking candidates for the following positions:
- Vice-Chair (3-year term)
- Secretary/Treasurer (3-year term)
- Member-at-Large (3 Positions) (2-year term)
In addition to planning the annual IUG conference, the Steering Committee coordinates the monthly discussion forums, maintains the website, and meets with Clarivate leadership to discuss matters of concern to the user community.
Please send any nominations (self or otherwise) to nominations@innovativeusers.org by November 30, 2023.
