IUG 2024: Updates and What’s Next

Registration will be opening soon for IUG 2024! To get ready, you’ll need to make sure you are able to log into the new membership system (if you missed it, there is a training video available), as you’ll need an active account to register. If you haven’t yet, you can go ahead and reserve your hotel room - we recommend doing so as early as possible to ensure availability.

Speaking of IUG 2024, if you missed the deadline for submitting that awesome program idea you were working on, fear not! The deadline has been extended to December 22, 2023. In addition to the thrill of presenting to and engaging with your enthusiastic colleagues, presenters also receive a discount on conference registration. So - solo presentations, forum and panel discussions, lightning round topics, whatever you’ve got - don’t be shy, let us hear it!

IUG Steering Committee Elections

Voting has begun for the 2023 IUG Steering Committee election cycle. Site contacts should have received an email with voting instructions; voting will close on December 15, 2023.

Monthly Zoom Forum: The third Thursday of each month, for all IUG members.

December 21: Advanced SQL Discussion & Sharing, for both Polaris and Sierra, 1 p.m. Eastern.

Your vote COUNTS! As you can see from the table below, we currently have a tie, so a single vote could determine the final outcome of your IUG Steering Committee. Of course, the good news is that they’re all great candidates, so you’re guaranteed to end up a with a great committee, but it would be great if you could take a couple of minutes to cast (or encourage you site contact to cast) your vote!
