IUG 2021 Virtual Presentation: Using Mobile Worklists for Limited Contact Weeding

Our featured presentations from IUG continue! Thank you to Roz Goldstein of Widener University for this presentation on Innovative’s Mobile Worklists! This video will be openly available on YouTube for this coming week - great opportunity to share with colleagues who may not have been able to attend the conference!

Using Mobile Worklists for Limited Contact Weeding
Our print collection was analyzed by GreenGlass in the Fall of 2019, with plans to evaluate the data and begin weeding during the Spring 2020 semester. We closed in mid-March due to COVID and this project was put on the back burner. Our limited contact solution is to have a library staff member work from spreadsheets created during the GreenGlass evaluation, pull the item and scan the barcode into Mobile Worklists. A staff member in Technical Services retrieves the list, exports to a Sierra create list and deletes from Sierra and OCLC as needed. The material is then stamped and boxed for Better World Books.
