IUG 2021 Virtual Presentation: SUSHI Made Easy

We’re excited to share this week’s featured presentation from the IUG 2021 conference! While all sessions from the conference continue to be available on the conference platform (limited to conference registrants), each week we will also share one session openly on YouTube.

SUSHI Made Easy: Using the COUNTER 5 Report Tool for Harvesting Usage Statistics

The SUSHI API represents a convenient and efficient means for librarians to collect COUNTER-compliant e-resource usage statistics. However, the protocol can initially be difficult to configure for library’s that have not yet implemented it due to a lack of technical knowledge and/or an ILS set-up that is incompatible with its use as a SUSHI harvesting client. This program will present an easy-to-use alternative client for harvesting COUNTER 5-compliant data called the COUNTER 5 Report Tool, an open source application developed at UPEI under the guidance of Melissa Belvadi. The tool’s user interface and capabilities will be demonstrated.
