IUG 2021 Virtual Presentation: Quarantined!: How One Academic Library Responded to the COVID-19 Pandemic

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in March 2020, libraries across the United States found themselves in a difficult situation. They had to quickly react to unprecedented circumstances and reduce or temporarily disable routine services to ensure the safety of their patrons and staff. This 2021 IUG Virtual Conference presentation recounts how the University of Colorado Colorado Springs academic library temporarily disabled physical lending, holds, and INN-REACH participation at the onset of the pandemic. The presentation also explores how UCCS restored these services, with new quarantine measures and borrowing policies in place, in order to continue its mission while ensuring the safety of its community.
