We have a circulation activity report from Sierra showing an ITYPE that says, “No Code”. What does that mean?
That would be an item record with an error. Every now and then something like the client crashing at just the wrong time can happen and a field doesn’t get recorded properly to the database. We typically see two or three of these a year. I believe you can find the item by searching in create lists for items with itype = blank
I think if you see “No Code” in your reports for items, you’ll need to go in and assign. There is no “-“ like in some fields, at least in our setup. I usually find fields in bibs and items that were overlooked/not assigned when I do field stat reports annually. I guess I’m usually focused on bibs vs. items, though.
