Autoship: Integrating an Approval Plan in a Hybrid Monograph Collection Development Environment
Like many academic libraries, we continue to streamline management of our monograph collection due to personnel and budget constraints. This presentation will address how San Francisco State University library worked with YBP (now GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO) in Summer 2015 to launch an autoship approval plan project for shelf-ready print books. By adjusting the approval plan profile, we have integrated autoship print books, firm orders, and a DDA eBook program. I will share our YBP technical specifications, OCLC WorldShare Collection Management settings and the Sierra loading table. Issues related to collection development, procedures, and workflow will be discussed.
