Program Description: We have created an ETL (Extract, TRansform, Load) process at UNCW that allow us to take a file provided by a campus department on a daily basis and import patron information (UPDATE, ADD, DELETE) to Sierra using the Patron API. Additionally we have created an application that uses the same Sierra information to modify users in ILLIAD. (UPDATE status, Clear/ Disavow users). These 2 processes have reduced the amount of time we spend to manually import users and has improved the quality of the data in the ILLiad system.
