Our library is using an automated materials handling sorter to recalibrate returned materials as well as to distribute brand new materials. With monthly staff input we are able to adjust the rules fairly easily to accommodate for changing trends so that the agencies end up with materials that are likely to circulate. I will also discuss how we implemented these features over a 3 month time period and tweaks we made along the lines to make it as successful as possible. Sierra is our ILS, but the sorter can be used with all ILSs.
