I plan to talk about the idea of capturing some of Sierra’s temporary data (transaction, and other ephemeral data) from the Sierra SQL database feature, storing it in another database, and then using that data for practical and useful purposes including the following (with code examples available): hold-shelf data analysis, deleted bib record info, and an “amount saved using the library” application. This presentation will cover such topics as: Sierra’s database, SQL query construction, SQLite database use, and automation with Python scripts.
