Polaris ILS Advisory Committee (PIAC): New Member Recruitment 2025

PIAC is currently seeking 2-3 new members to join our team. PIAC (Polaris ILS Advisory Committee) is a subcommittee of IUG, comprised of 6-10 IUG members who are Polaris users. PIAC represents Polaris ILS users to Innovative, and meets monthly with Innovative staff to discuss questions, concerns, and other items relevant to the larger Polaris community.

Membership Criteria and Expectations:

  1. Active User of Polaris ILS: Applicants must be current users of Polaris ILS with a solid understanding of the system. Active engagement with Polaris support preferred.
  2. Two-Year Term Commitment: Members are expected to serve a term of two years (July 2025-June 2027).
  3. Meeting Attendance: Members should have the availability to attend two virtual meetings per month, typically held on the third Wednesday and the following Monday.
  4. Active Participation and Contribution: Beyond attending meetings, members are expected to engage in discussions, identify agenda items impacting Polaris customers, assist with the PIAC newsletter, moderate the IUG Zoom Forum, and contribute actively to the betterment of the Polaris community.
  5. Advocacy and Communication: Members should be willing to represent and advocate to Polaris ILS users’ concerns and facilitate effective communication with both Innovative Interfaces Inc. (III) and the IUG Steering Committee.
  6. Promotion of PIAC and Community Engagement: Actively promote PIAC’s objectives and engage with the wider Polaris community to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Please consider these responsibilities and expectations carefully before proceeding with your application. Applications must be submitted by May 12, 2025. PIAC recruits new members annually, so if you are unable to apply this year, we invite you to consider applying in the next recruitment cycle.

Timeline:

  • April 17-May 12: interested individuals submit their applications
  • May 13-May 31: PIAC reviews all applications and nominates new slate of candidates to the IUG Steering Committee
  • June: IUG Steering Committee approves proposed slate at their June meeting
  • July: New slate of candidates begin terms.
