Voice and Text Message Notifications
The SMS portion of Innovative Phone Alerts (IPA) is now in general release. Customers experiencing issues with their SMS notifications can contact their Account Managers for additional information about the replacement product. IPA also includes options for outgoing
voice notifications and inbound services (phone renewal line).
There are costs associated with both products. Account Managers can provide different pricing models based on the library’s expected usage.

New Innovative Support Center
Earlier this month, Clarivate migrated Innovative customers to their new case management system. Support contacts for each customer should have received instructions on how to access their accounts in the new support center.
New staff contacts (those that previously didn’t have access to the old Supportal) can register for an account here. Once created, an existing Support contact can then “promote” the user in the support center.
Customers that would like to view a list of their current support users or make changes to it can open a case with their Site Manager.
Changes Coming to PolarisSA
The Polaris 7.7 and 7.8 releases will both include several enhancements for PolarisSA - the web-based platform for system administration. Most notably, 7.7 will remove the OAUTH requirements needed to access the web-based functionality. After upgrading to Polaris 7.7, it will be possible to configure PolarisSA to accept Polaris usernames and passwords.
Enhancements for 7.7 include:
- Updates to User Management and Workstations
- Additional record types: Collections, Organizations
- Some of the more common Patron Services settings (about 60)
Once the foundations are in place, Polaris 7.8 will continue to expand and add additional System Administration resources.
Polaris 7.7 is currently slated for a Q4 2024 release.
Spine Label Printing in Leap
As cataloging features are being developed in Leap, customers have experienced issues setting up spine label printing for Leap. Clarivate has released a knowledgebase article to give customers more direction on setting up spine label printing.
Printing Vouchers in Leap
Several customers have reported issues printing invoice vouchers in Leap. These issues will be addressed in Polaris 7.7 and a patch is being developed for 7.6. These issues were the result of a bug that was missed during initial beta testing.
