Merging Libraries -Franklin and Urbana

In summer 2014, Franklin University acquired Urbana University. For the next three years, the university libraries operated separately, while other departments across our campuses became shared services. In 2017, the decision was made that we could provide better services to our patrons by working together. One of the tasks was the merging of our ILS’s and all of the subsequent data. We combined policies and reconfigured how we use Sierra to meet each library’s needs. Please join us to hear about our systems merger and the ins and outs of our leap into becoming a shared library service!
