We’re excited to announce that the Working Group members for the IUG Member Exclusive Enhancement Process (MEEP) have been selected! Visit the IUG website to see the members of the Working Groups.

We thank everyone who submitted their name for consideration. All applicants should have received email notification regarding their application status. If you have not seen this notification, please check your email or SPAM folder. For further inquiries, contact enhancements@innovativeusers.org to verify your application status.

The Sierra and Polaris Working Groups will begin work immediately. We anticipate that the Vega Working Groups will start their activities soon as well.

This process relies on idea/votes/comments in Idea Exchange, so make sure to keep participating on that platform.

We look forward to working with the entire membership on this exciting new process.

Hi Wes,
What is the duration of appointment to a working group? A 2 yr commitment?
(My boss was curious.)

There has been some debate and the IUG Steering Committee hasn’t come to a final decision. Our goal is to stagger appointments so that there isn’t more than 50% turnover to help with continuity.

However, as of right now, we’re considering these inaugural appointments to be for the 2024 calendar year.
