Any recommendations for high capacity label printers? With Baker & Taylor closing down we have been processing a lot of our materials. We have found that our labels are fading quickly. We have seen posts about the glue on label covers, keeping labels out of UV direct sunlight (I am in Arizona!).
We currently use Zebra printers and they have worked well for us. Maybe we need new Zebras?
They are a fairly small company and I think could give you some pretty straight answers about the current market. I know they still sell Zebra, but I think they’ve said the quality has gone down, and they are working with other providers to try and match the quality of former Zebra printers.
We have been using Brother p-Touch label printers for about 20 years and could not be happier. They work with all Windows fonts installed on the PC, use a wonderful label editor, and use TZ tape in a variety of tape widths and colors. TZ tape does not fade and has excellent adhesive. We are still using older printer versions that are now discontinued, but Brother has a newer one that may meet your needs: https://www.brother-usa.com/products/ptp750w
