We need to replace a lot of aging Zebra TLP 2824 and TLP 2824 Plus label printers. Some of them are 20 years old, but they’re well out of support and some of them are giving up the ghost.
We need to replace them and would love some input. We have been really impressed with Zebra printers and are investigating the ZD411D Direct Thermal Printer. These would be used primarily for spine labels. Most of our users need to output 1” x 1.25” labels but we have a couple users who need the ability to produce 1”x2” labels. We are interested in USB connection only (if possible). We don’t need wireless or other connection options but realize that this may not be possible. We’d love to hear about your experiences with the ZD411D or other printers. We’d also be interested in knowing where you’re purchasing them. Our initial investigations are indicating there may be supply issues.
