The Indianapolis Public library, serving the Indianapolis-Marion County community, is hiring a Manager of Cataloging and Metadata. This position is a core leader in our technical services team. The role provides strategic direction for cataloging operations, advances the use of emerging technologies, optimizes workflows, and supports effective discovery and access for library users. The Manager leads staff development and departmental planning, oversees documentation, and collaborates across departments to deliver efficient, high-quality services.
IndyPL operates 25 public library branches in Indianapolis and supports over 90 schools and libraries through our unique Shared System partnership. The Library was just named a winner of the Indianapolis Star Top Workplaces of 2026 award, an award based solely on employee feedback.
