Note: Although the May 15 forum was about migrating from one ILS to another (e.g. Sierra to Polaris, Sierra to Koha), this post is about migrating from self-hosted on-premises servers to the Clarivate cloud:
Over this past weekend I wrote a 2,000+ word account of the various issues we encountered during our Sierra cloud migration last year, with the intention of helping a fellow ILS admin (Polaris in her case) proactively avoid those same difficulties. If your library is contemplating such a migration, I’ll be happy to share an edit of that email as I’d like to help anyone learn from our experience. The process could have gone a lot more smoothly.
