I am excited to announce the winners of the IUG 2025 Conference scholarships! These talented individuals stood out in a competitive field, and we’re excited to support their journey to the IUG conference.
This year’s scholarships were provided by: Innovative, Part of Clarivate, the Innovative User’s Group Steering Committee and the Polaris ILS Advisory Committee (PIAC).
We received many outstanding applications, making the selection process both inspiring and challenging. To those who were not selected, we want you to know that your contributions to the IUG community do not go unnoticed. We encourage you to stay involved through our monthly Zoom Forums, Web Forum, Discord, and the Member Exclusive Enhancement Process (MEEP).
This year’s scholarship recipients are:
- Fran Penner, ILS/User Experience Manager, Montgomery County Library & Information Network (MCLINC)
- Asako Shiba, Systems and Technical Services Librarian, Washington State Library
- Pam Skittino, Head of Support Services, Deerfield Public Library
- Stephanie Thero, Manager, Technology Services, The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC)
- Melissa Walker, Technical Services Coordinator, Akron-Summit County Public Library
- Sarah Wenstrup, Collection Services Manager / ILS Administrator, Lawrenceburg Public Library District
Thank you again to everyone who applied. Your passion and dedication make our community better, and we hope to see all of you at an IUG event soon.
