IUG 2021 Virtual Presentation: Project Management and Pandemics - Do's and Don'ts in Uncertain Times

Happy Tuesday! Thank you to Trevor Smith of Douglas College for this week’s featured IUG presentation on project management. This video will be openly available on YouTube for this coming week - great opportunity to share with colleagues who may not have been able to attend the conference!

Project Management and Pandemics - Do’s and Don’ts in Uncertain Times
Running a library project during a pandemic adds a new layer of complexity. This session will look at using traditional PM work in a remote setting by focusing on:

  • Understand how people work individually and in teams

  • Have clear deliverables

  • Manage risks and plan purchases

  • Control the triple constraint of time, cost, and quality

  • STAY ON BUDGET!!!

  • Understand software options like Trello, MS Project, and more.

  • The difference between Agile and traditional projects

By the end, you will have the right tools to make your next project succeed.
