Sierra DNA and the JSON option in Create Lists are powerful tools for pulling data from your collection. Many times we start with a list of barcodes or control numbers and want to pull matching records. Both technologies are perfect for this but casting your lists in the proper syntax can be time consuming. Here we show how to create your own ‘convert tools’ in Google Docs so that non-specialist staff can quickly and easily cast their lists into the proper format for DNA queries or Create Lists.
