Our team gets approached on a regular basis by different university departments trying to figure out a sensible way to loan out materials and equipment to students, faculty and staff. Although the needs of these departments are quite different from those of a traditional academic circulation operation, we have been able to set up numerous “satellite” locations across campus to assist our non-library colleagues in their efforts to circulate items with Sierra. This poster will outline our typical process for setting up a new non-library circulation location, including our initial questionnaire, relevant training and ongoing support.
