EZproxy stanza for Sierra Web

During the Sierra Sys Admin forum at IUG, a question came up about hosted customers using EZproxy to access Sierra Web from outside of their library, since Clarivate support will not generally allow unrestricted access from the public Internet.

Here’s the stanza I set up during our COVID closure so staff could access Sierra Web from home without needing to connect through the library’s VPN:

T Sierra Web
U https://sierra.helenplum.org:63100/sierra/sierraweb/
HJ sierra.helenplum.org:63100
DJ helenplum.org:63100
HJ sierra.helenplum.org
DJ helenplum.org

We haven’t used this in nearly five years now, so you may want to do some testing if you plan to use it, but it still appears to work for me. You’ll also need to open support ticket to get your EZproxy IP added to the allowed list for access to your Sierra server.

Hope that helps!
