Collection Analysis for $5 a Month. CHEAP!

Using the free and open-source software, Datasette (https://datasette.io/), I will demonstrate how to create a flexible, SQL-based, data-analysis platform from regular snapshots of ILS data, and then provide a quick demonstration of how this platform may easily be hosted on inexpensive platforms.

The example scripts and workflows I’ll provide and briefly outline, utilize the Sierra ILS SQL feature, but this method should be applicable to other ILS platforms where bulk-export options are available.

A working example of this software, data, and accompanying documentation may be found at the following address: https://ilsweb.cincinnatilibrary.org/collection-analysis/
