New to polaris. Is there a way to block renewals on a specific item or item type? We have Renewal: Block if there are holds set to No on the system level, but I was wondering if there was a way to exclude certain items from that.

If you never wanted this item to renew, you could go into the item record and change the renewal limit to 0.

What if I only wanted to block renewals if there were holds without changing the system level setting?
I don’t have access to SA at the moment, but can this be changed at the branch or library level?
support told me it’s an all or nothing setting, unless someone had a stored procedure. so that’s what i was hoping to find here on this forum. my predecessor had one set up but it broke during our last update.
