# Submitting a conference proposal

This page contains instructions on how you can submit a proposal for an IUG conference.

## Submit a new proposal

1. [Use this link to submit a proposal for the IUG conference](https://members.innovativeusers.org/members/proposals/propselect.php?orgcode=IUG&prid=1981763)

2. Click on the **Submit New Proposal** button to start the process.  

3. Answer the questions on each page and then click on the **Save and continue** button at the **bottom of _each_ page**.  

4. On the last page make sure to **Confirm and Submit** to submit your proposal.  

### Checking the status and editing your proposal

There are several steps to the proposal review process. You’ll get emailed with updates along the way and you will be informed if your proposal was accepted for the conference. If you’d like, you can also check the status of your submission in the IUG member area.

1. [Use this link to visit the member’s area](https://members.innovativeusers.org/members/members.php) of the IUG website.
  - Also accessible from the Member’s Only menu _after logging in_.

2. On your membership page you will **scroll all the way to the bottom** to see the status of your submission.
3. If you’d like to edit your proposal, click the title of the proposal in your member area

4. Then select the Edit Proposal option.

5. Make sure to select the **Save & Continue** button at the bottom of each page to save your changes.

## Trouble logging in?

1. IUG moved to a new membership management system on Nov. 1st, 2023. If you haven’t yet, [please **reset your password**](https://innovativeusers.org/forgot_pwd.php) so you can log into the membership & proposal system.
2. Check your SPAM or junk folder in case your password reset email ended up in there.
